Product Introduction

Cactus extract is a light-yellow powdered substance derived from the entire plant of cacti in the Cactaceae family, including its roots, stems, pulp, peel, and seeds. Its foreign names include "Cactus Extract," and its primary components consist of polysaccharides, triterpenoid saponins, flavonoids, and organic acids.

Malonic acid in cactus extract can inhibit fat synthesis, while flavonoids such as quercetin-3-glucoside help improve glucose metabolism in patients with type II diabetes. The ethanol extract of cactus exhibits minimum inhibitory concentrations of 0.025 g/mL and 0.05 g/mL against Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli, respectively. Polysaccharides extracted from the peel can be processed into food preservation films and cosmetic moisturizers. The superoxide dismutase (SOD) content in cactus extract is twice that of bovine blood, providing anti-inflammatory properties and promoting wound healing.
